Location of Log Files

If you experience issues with the Gremlin agent not working correctly the best place to start the investigation is the error log files.

In a Linux environment, logs can be found under the /var/log/gremlin directory. Agent logs can be found in the daemon.log file. Log entries in this file may indicate events where the Gremlin Agent is not able to communicate with the Control Plane. Each fault injection performed by the Agent is logged under /var/log/gremlin/executions using its unique attack execution ID. This is useful for troubleshooting attacks that do not complete.

In Windows, logs are stored under C:/ProgramData > Gremlin > Agent

When submitting a Support ticket, please include the full contents of /var/log/gremlin (or C:/ProgramData > Gremlin > Agent if on Windows) along with any additional contextual information such as your agent environment details, team id, and the attack id (if applicable)
